I’ve been in the networking field since 1989 and never have a boring day. Even reviewing what some may refer to as, “the basics” is always helpful.
Here is an excellent example of what I’m talking about.
While troubleshooting an issue with a client, we were using good old traceroute, or tracert in Windows. The analyst was complaining that he didn’t like traceroute because it was so slow. I quietly watched him in action and surmised that he may not be familiar with some of the options available that would address his issues.
