Since there are more appliances and IOT devices on your network, I get a lot of questions asking me how would I capture packets from these devices.
I thought why not go back to the basics and review for those who are new, or need a refresher.
In this example, I set up port mirroring on my switch that the ATA unmanaged switch is connected to and captured the ATA bootup process. I call this a bootup baseline which I encourage everyone to do at some point and save with your notes.
