Every time I mention “You should practice” and “Know your tool”, I get comments that people “don’t have the time” or more honestly “yeah, how?”.
Fair enough. Here is a video of me using Wireshark and NMAP on a Windows computer to learn about the Windows firewall and how it behaves when it is on and when it is off. You can take this to the ‘next level’ easily for more testing but the video proves that this doesn’t take long to get started.
